The North 22nd Street Master Plan evolved from the 1997 University Area Community Master Plan. It involved area residents, businesses, civic

organizations, and government and law enforcement agencies identifying goals and strategies for revitalization of the area surrounding the University

of South Florida. The recommendations from the community planning process were supplemented with updated design studies, a market feasibility study and zoning modifications. This plan includes a

Traditional Neighborhood Development zoning overlay, civic projects, proposed bus stop locations and roadway improvements along N. 22nd Street between Bearss Avenue and Club Drive.
